You can now write in the margins of your PDFs. Choose the new Margin note tool, click anywhere in a margin, the header or the footer, and start typing — the way scholars wrote ḥawāshī beside the text. • Write in English or Arabic. Start typing in Arabic and the note turns right-to-left on its own. • Notes sit at a slant and fill the margin from edge to edge, like a gloss in a manuscript. Set the tilt once and that margin keeps it on every page. • Notes go only in the margins, header and footer, so the text stays clear. Start a note above an older one and the older one slides down to make room — or drag notes wherever you want them. • Find any note again: search inside the book, or from the main search box. It opens the right book at the right page and points the note out. Vowel marks don't matter, so عثمان finds عُثمان. Look for the tilted T in the PDF toolbar.

We're very excited to finally announce Salik Halaqa! You can now run a whole study circle on Saalik. If you teach a class or study with a group, the curriculum, the live classes, the recordings and everyone's progress can all sit in one place. Publish your curriculum once and every lecture lands on each student's calendar. Teach live inside Saalik with a whiteboard, polls, Q&A and breakout rooms. Each recording files itself onto the right lecture, with that class's whiteboard saved under it. Between classes you can post announcements, share the set texts, set homework, and see who has watched, revised and memorised what. Sometimes you need to go back and forth between the research tool, saving new vocabulary, editing notes and reading a pdf. A floating rail now holds a running set of tiles — a notebook page, a book, Research, Flashcards, Vocabulary, Dictionary or Tools — so you can switch the whole screen between them in a tap without losing your place: scroll position, search results and everything else stay exactly as you left them. Tap the rail's + to open another tile, and right-click (long-press on a phone) any tile to close it.
